On the road with 5A Division 1 Reigning 2x State Champions the Highland Park Scots
As the sun sets over dallas and the stadium lights flicker on the highland park Scots gear up for the first game of the 5A division 1 playoffs. No strangers to the pressure of the playoffs this will be the their third playoff appearance in three years winning the state championship back to back the last two years. Fresh off an undefeated season the fighting Scots were matched up against Frisco Independence, the game was a real toss up. Would the Scots be brought down by Frisco? Would their undefeated season come to an end? It was all going to come down to the boys and what would unfold on the field. The game started with a 14-14 tie right off the bat, the tie was broken by a returned fumble turned touchdown by Chris Reid. A couple plays later highland park recovered another fumble from Frisco leading to another touchdown pass from chandler Morris to Drew Scot. Scots went in leading 28-14 at halftime. No points were put up in the third quarter. Top of the fourth hp runs it in for a touchdown with point after attempt good kicked by Wesly Winters. 35-14 Scots. Frisco failed to put any more points on the board in the fourth and the game ended 35-14 Scots. Scots are set to play college station the Saturday after thanksgiving in Waco.
